Rumor Mill 7/28 - 8/3

This week's Mill.

News of the weird world of wrestling.

Last week I mentioned Maryse had herself a good old-fashioned creepy stalker. Today she went to court to get a restraining order on him, which fortunately she was able to do. 61-year-old creeper Larry Silbin is now legally required to stay a minimum of 300 feet from Ms. Maryse for the next three years. Miz was also present with her at the courtroom as you can see by the included video. In other Maryse news, she announced via twitter that she's gonna be out of action for a while due to an abdominal hernia and subsequent surgery. Poor thing's having quite a run of bad luck lately.

WWE has also bolstered event security for recent shows in response to this threat, in addition to other things they're not at liberty to say.

Former diva Stacy Keibler is rumored to be dating George Clooney. Yes, THAT George Clooney. Yes, that is totally news.

To counteract that totally not important piece of news, I have this. Colt Cabana worked a dark match against Wade Barrett... in a Lexington, KY show... for the WWE. OH. MY. GOD. I quite simply cannot even. To have Colt Cabana back in the WWE proper... there are no words.

Edge is gonna star in four episodes of the SyFy show Haven. Look for him August 5th (That's this Friday!) and September 9th, 16th and 23rd.

Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins fame is starting his own wrestling promotion, called "Resistance Pro". Everybody should come out to Smashing Pumpkin songs. Dibs on "Disarm". No, I'm not a wrestler, why do you ask? A killer in meeee is a killer in youuuuu... I think that'd make an awesome theme.

Speaking of badass women wrestlers, The Queen of badass women wrestlers, Sara Del Ray pinned Claudio Castagnoli. Pinned him. Hell yeah. Thank god for Sara Del Ray; she singlehandedly makes up for the entire women's division in WWE (minus Beth Phoenix and Natalya.)

Back in March, Shad Gaspard was arrested in Columbus for resisting arrest. After he was pinned down by three officers. For jay-walking. Yeah, Ohio. Earlier this week, those charges of resisting arrest have been dropped, though he has been hit with a lesser charge of obstructing official business, and had to pay a fine. *facepalm* Ohio, I am disappoint.

Sin Cara -- who's in the middle of serving his 30 day suspension for violating the Wellness Policy -- is being advertised for the August 20th house show in Washington. So it appears they're bringing him back after all.

The eagle-eyed among you, or those who pay attention to the Divas, may have noticed Gail Kim basically eliminated herself during Monday's RAW Diva Battle Royal. Here's what she has to say about it.
